Join us as soon as possible at our headquarters in Idstein as a Senior Manager Group Tax (m/f/d).
The story begins
- Overall responsibility for group-wide tax reporting of the Jack Wolfskin Group according to US GAAP, in close cooperation with the finance and US corporate tax department
- Strategic monitoring and further development of transfer pricing guidelines for the entire Jack Wolfskin Group, including coordination with international locations
- Active participation in the timely preparation and review of VAT and corporate income tax returns for German and European entities of the group, involving internal and external partners
- Reviewing, approving, and ensuring the timely submission of VAT advance returns for German entities as well as monitoring the submissions of European subsidiaries in close collaboration with the finance department
- Solving complex tax issues in day-to-day business and developing short- and long-term tax strategic solutions
- Leading and coordinating tax audits and special audits at national and international levels
- Main point of contact for the corporate tax department (USA), external auditors, tax authorities, and tax advisors in Germany and abroad on tax matters
Your proven path
- Completed degree in business administration, finance, or law with a focus on tax law, or a comparable qualification, ideally with additional training as a tax advisor
- At least 7 years of experience in a senior tax position within an internationally operating company or a large tax consultancy firm
- Strong knowledge of SAP and extensive experience in corporate tax reporting, ideally in a US-led corporate environment
- Excellent MS Office skills and very good SAP knowledge
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
- High level of service orientation towards internal and external stakeholders
- Strong initiative and sense of responsibility, with the ability to solve complex issues independently
- Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and countries
- Pragmatic and creative problem-solving approaches to tax-related challenges
- Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently under time pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Persistence and resilience to drive process improvements
